Blanchardstown Centre for Independent Living was set up in 1994 to support People with disabilities in the Dublin 15 area.
Our ethos is to ensure the centre is owned and operated by people with disabilities and there is always a majortity of people with disabilities on the Board.
Since it was established the population of the area has more than doubled to over 100,000 people and naturally, the number of disabled people has grown proportionally.
The services have not followed into the community at the same pace and so the needs of disabled people in the community have never been greater.
We aim to ensure that Disabled people can live full and active lives in the community and participate in all aspects of society.
We operate a Community Employment Scheme through FAS.
